Texan .257 owners (Need your thoughts).

Ok guys. Ready to pull trigger on Texan .257 package. Of the 4 available options i decided on the carbine with a 24.75 bbl. My thinking. This is a plug and play set. No need for massive power. My plans are nsa 75 gr hpbt @ 1000 fpe for just under 170 fpe. This should do well @ 200/250 yds. For the business end a Donnyfl Ronin . Reason for Ronin over over Emperor is lgt. The Ronin have and extender for $60 if needed. Have a Joe B reg and tank. Plan to fire lap bbl with Wheeler kit and let her rock. Comments please.

I think you will get better results with the NSA 65gr bullets. I don't think you will be able to push the heavier bullet at 1000fps.

Really if wanting the shorter rifle a .25cal Condor will get you very similar results for less money with it's 24" barrel.

Loren, thanks for the reply. I will pass on the condor .way to hard on thumb cocking. Will fine some 60/65 gr for time being. I know of a Tj 1-14 twist 30" that will become available in a few months. Have no interest in the 34" factor bbl. Love your gun and the stocks are the bomb. Again thanks
