This is a dumb question but Is it safe to tether a scba tanks at 4400psi to a gun max fill 4500psi? I think it is as long as my tank is lower psi than gun I am good?

Yes, as long as the guns rated fill is the same or more than what is in the tank you are good to go tethering wise.

You can also get this externally adjustable regulator from Huma, in my case I pre-set it @ 185 bar.

I tether my tank without an extra reg, and I just make sure the external bottle fill is lower than the max of the gun. So much better than constant refills!
