Wanted to share a bit of my journey so far…
When I purchased my Uragan one of the things I wanted was the ability to shoot pellets at the heavy end of the spectrum. I found that the Beasts are just a hair too long for the magazines but single loading to shoot at least showed promise when I first tried them.
I ordered a CARM magazine to attempt modifying the cover plate to gain that little bit of room to get the Beasts to fit inside.
Testing at 30 yards showed great results with 18.13 Jumbos (@1044 FPS) and enough to keep testing Monsters (@933 FPS) as well as Beasts (@818 FPS)
moving back to 50 yards things open a little as expected and I’m still trying to figure out what hold and rest combination provides the best results (so far a light hold off of sand bags gets a tiny edge). I was only able to compare Beasts to Knock Outs (.216 and .217) last night at 50 yards. While not “one hole” groups, the Beasts again show promise by shooting sub MOA groups (under 1/2” at 50 yards).
The .216 Knock Outs show some promise as well with slightly larger groups (see above) as well as one truly astonishing group that I was completely unable to figure out how I did and could not replicate.
