Ted Reviews the WarCat

Agreed. I think that may be the next step in the evolution of the Wildcat. Power adjustment like the Crown/Impact/Streamline.

The statement he made about the Warcat having the best bullpup trigger is a matter to be disputed I guess. I’d love to know if he ever tried a Taipan Mutant trigger.

I don’t doubt that it’s a great gun but would love to have it compared to other similar priced guns and see how they perform at the same distance against each other.

It is not my intention to be argumentative, however, I believe it is unfair to comment definitively about the features of any product based upon the views of others.

I happen to own 3 FX Impacts and for me, adjusting the valve, the regulator etc. is less complex on the Impact, than doing the same with my Wildcat, Vulcan, Royale, AA S510 et al.

I appreciate your opinion (honest, I do), and I believe what you say to be true....for you. Not for me. I base my opinion in a variety of things, not solely on the opinions of others.

My comfort level is not on par with others. I have seen the CAD? (Not sure if right word) Computer Schematics at any rate, that show the inner workings of the gun and I find it Complex.

To ME, the Streamline was built to be much less complicated and Streamlined. (No, don’t own one either) and as a studied opinion, and solely just my opinion, I think there are many out there, that like me, would love to see a Streamlined WC.

Very good review on the WARCAT. Seems like a great Woods Walker, and I was impressed that he said to shoot the Kings and forget about the Heavies. Great advice from Ted. I will mention though that the .25 EDgun R5M Matador Standard is a couple inches shorter than the "new" Wildcat Compact and has been around about the same amount of time. Although the trigger isn't as good as the FX WC Compact, I'd think the power and accuracy are pretty much equivalent, and the shot count on the EDgun is probably higher, as it has a significantly larger pressure tube that can be filled to 250 bar. So, both good guns, depends on your preference. I like the look of the EDgun better and the fact that it has a wood or laminate stock. Both have forward cocking and pic rails for scope mount, and the EDgun has built in storage for 3 additional magazines. If I had both, which would I reach for when I wanted to go out and knock some ground squirrel heads? Tough question...

I also agree with @nolandbeyond, if he hasn't tried the Taipan Mutant or Veteran trigger, he doesn't know that the FX Wildcat Mk2 has the second best bull pup trigger he's ever felt...Its interesting to me, that although the FX trigger is VERY good, and I have a Bobcat Mk2 with just about the same trigger as the WARCAT, and love it, its still the 3rd best trigger of my guns, and the 4th best trigger I've owned. (I don't have a Taipan, or I would also include that trigger as better than my Bobcat). Lets see, my RAW TM1000 is better than the Bobcat, along with the FWB 601 and my (ex) Daystate Renegade. But of them all, the FWB 601 has an absolutely perfect trigger, I've never shot anything with a better trigger than that. Only reason I'm bringing this all up is because of the additional time spent in the video explaining what a great trigger the WARCAT has...

You are indeed a gentleman.

If I recall correctly, we're neighbors. I live in the Birmingham, Al metropolitan area -- you're around central Georgia, right?

On my next visit across our eastern border, maybe I could arrange to meet with you and allow you to examine and shoot my Impact X.

I have no doubt that the experience would win you over.

@2manyAirgunz

I can practically see the stadium from my house. Shoot me a PM and I will give you my #. I also have a few guns you can try, including the Veteran.

I have no hate towards the Impact btw. Here is my thread with links to Ernest’s Master Class

https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/fx-masterclass-mass-drop/

But, to make my point, that is ~ 13 separate videos on tuning and taking care of the Impact.
