Ted Released New Video On How He Tunes His Impact+Crown!

I wonder if his term of "harmony" would have a direct connection to "harmonic resonance" of the gun? Makes some sense that it would. Interesting. Thanks TED! Get well soon!

edit: Got me thinking about what he said in regards to reducing "disturbed air" around the pellet as it travels down range. What if we could create grooves in the skirt of the diabolo pellets such that they would create a reduced vortex drag? It would be similar to "winglets" that you see on commercial jets. Ted just makes you think about things......

"Dairyboy"So his "secret" is tune for the best efficiency of the gun? Not much of a secret...that's how I've set up my reg guns and many other people do as well.
Im pretty sure he hasn't told us his secret since he wants to win the coming Extreme Benchrest. Anyone have any guesses on what his secret is? Maybe he stretches before every session ;).

Lol yeah I'm thinking he said that was his secret and really is something else and wants others to believe that it is though

"isaacrm1"First of all thanks for the video it's good to get some advise.

I do understand he does not want to share all since he likes to win, I would also do it so no blame for that, instead I would say thank for his help.

Now he didn't mention anything about the valve..... so i would guess where his secret is....

Good point he only spoke of the hammer spring tensioner(how hard the hammer hits the valve?) and regulator (what pressure the air is at?)adjustment. I think he sees the valve stop as an efficiency changer(how abruptly the air stops).

He shot thousands and thousands of rounds thru the Impact in all conditions (environment and gun) and records the results. Analyzing those results tells him what works better in what conditions, for example at last years EBR he started to unload when the wind picked up at a certain direction while everyone else stopped. So basically in short experience is his secret, the more you do something the better you get at it. But not just doing it for doing it sake but actually learning from that experience.

Dabinche i agree its practice practice practice knowing what responce you will get in any type of wind ,,,any situation,, and beside all that hes a great marksmen,, even before he had a Impact ,he was finishing top 6 ,i believe every vid he gives u something ,,,theres also something in harmonics Matt did a couple vids on that ,,another good marksman ,, pat
