Tax Return Purchases

It's tax return season here in the US, so I know I'm not the only one who bought an addition to my arsenal. I'd like to see what all everyone got. It doesn't have to be an airgun specifically, just related to the sport.

As for myself, I got my tax return Tuesday and then went and bought my first springer, a Gamo Swarm Whisper in .22. I went with 22 caliber because I'm basically a cheap backyard pinker and the 22 version was cheaper. Also, the reviews I'd seen all say that the 177 version shoots super sonic, and nothing can reduce that noise, while the 22 I'd decidedly sub-sonic. I live in a rural area, but I do still have some neighbors so I try to keep the noise down.

It will be interesting to see how my little shooting gallery and backstop handle the larger caliber.

I also finally bought a sand bag to help steady my aim a bit. No more using a rolled up duffle bag.

Return? Lol. Why would I let the Government hold on to my hard earn cash when I can use it monthly.

This is me. I don't like owing or getting money back. I try to break even as it means Uncle Sam isn't making money on my money.

Precisely. If I have to pay taxes it's once a year. I'm amazed at the amount of people with blind trust in the government. I won't give money to the govt in hope of getting some back without interest.

If I were getting one it would go towards my currently in production Thomas.

Some folks are not capable of saving, many have to spend it as soon as the money is in their hands. For years I paid taxes at each tax season so the govt didnt have "my" money all year long. With my retirement now I get back everything I pay in, free money so to speak. If I make my yearly withdraws just before the years end then claim it on my taxes the following tax season the govt only has my money for a couple months and with what a savings acct pays in interest....no incentive what so ever to get people to save!!! I buy whenever I need or want, not banking on our govt for anything if I can get around it. Now if your one of the 52% that doesnt work and lives off the govt then your tax return is excess gravy and free money to you to have a ball with!
