I have one metal target that makes the most delightful ding sound. It's a scavenged piece of milled stainless steel from a biotech site that was closing. Does anyone have any recommendations for metal targets that Ring? Making metal go doink is okay, but there's nothing like that ding

This is the Shooting Targets 7 biathlon target. I have the one inch hole to shoot at 100 yards. It has a good ring to it that can be easily heard from that distance.

The 1/8” and 1/4”x3” gongs on EBay and Amazon have a really nice ping. They tend to remain moving much longer after being shot than the larger 5/16”x4” gongs but sound so much better.

I’ll second or third the saw blade suggestion. The bigger they are the better they ring. A 12 or 14” blade is the best. It also matters how you hang them. The less contact with the blade the better the ring. Ive shot them with slugs and believe me you can hear that ring from hundreds of yards away. They are made of very thin and very durable steel so they hold up perfectly even against slugs.

I have a wind chime I made from an old steel scuba tank. I don't shoot the tank because I have no idea where the ricochet will end up but if I shoot the wind vane you can probably here it from 1/2mile away. Sounds like an old school or church bell.

We shoot .177 & .22 pellets from 40 meters to 160 meters and find that 6063 aluminum plates provide a nice, loud "ding!" when hung from two chains.

It doesn't ring but I enjoy the slap sound my home made know-your-limits target makes when hit by a 30+ fpe airgun. My 177 just makes a tiny dink sound but my 25s and bigger 22s make a more satisfying slap, especially on the 2 inch target.
