Talos btr 4-14 vs TS-12X

So I recently got a new huntsman revere. This thing is so sweet, I feel like my talos scope doesn't do it justice. I've been eyeballing the US Optics TS-12X as a replacement.

Does anyone think it would be worth switching?

I'm especially drawn to the compact size and light weight of the TS-12X, and with comparable magnification, and with both FFP and a tree reticle...it's hard for me to judge the value of upgrading without looking through one first!

It is just several hundred dollars, and the talos is still a decent scope. I am hoping someone with both scopes can chime in with their thoughts on both.

Thanks!

The good ole Talos BTR is Athlons lowest line FFP scope so it's okay at best, the awesome .2 mil reticle with crossover hashes makes it seeable on 4x is it's A#1 attribute. I haven't seen any of the TS12's or copies from the other brands so I can't comment on it.

I will say that you'd be severely disappointed by neglecting to buy a Athlon Helos BTR G2 2-12x42 though. THAT SCOPE IS SO COOL! And you can plainly see the reticle on 2x. It is a tad heavy for the mag range, however it's compact, but weight is offset because it's FULLY loaded with all the modern features. The locking feature on the turrets turned out excellent, a nice distinct lock-in snap and unlock snap, distinct click feel, lines line up perfectly, 10 mil travel per rev, illume, ""circle of death"" holdover reticle, and the glass is nice!

Allz I can say is that the Barra H30 Chinese glass is clearer and brighter and very similar to what you see when looking through am Japan SWFA SS 3-15x42.

Not that you should ever buy any Barra scope because they have VERY questionable Warranty and other popular brands (Made in China) need your money to stay in business. Makes the world go round...

And believe it or not MOST PPL sleep better the more money spent even on inferior products.
