Tuning Talon P help, safety related

I have had this rifle apart before and went back together no issue, I installed the TalonTunes hammer and now I cannot get the safety to move out of the "on" position after I reinstall everything and cock the rifle.

Orientation of everything is correct right? Sorry for the noob question I'm just baffled... I will admit I was not able to find a break down or blow up to see how this whole safety/trigger group works so that could likely be a large part of my issue.

I’m trying to figure out what you were doing there because it looks like it’s more disassembled than it needs to be change a hammer. I see you removed the grip and trigger guard… did you by any chance mess with anything in there under the trigger guard?

I’ve swapped out hammers dozens of times and never had any problem with the safety.

There is a pin that you can knock out which will disable the auto safety, something that a lot of people do I guess who don’t like automatic safeties. Maybe this is the be way to solve your problem if you can’t find another

Also I’d be curious to hear about your hammer because the heavy hammers I got from TT were quite a bit lighter than advertised, not 95 grams by a long shot. had to get custom hammers from somebody else since they weren’t heavy enough or as heavy as advertised.

So yes I did have the trigger guard removed , I am in the middle of replacing stripped safety pad screws as well as installing a roller bearing trigger from RMPA like the one I installed on my texan, however I did not fool with the orientation of the trigger group. I merely removed and labeled the springs I took out. With that said I did a trigger install on my Texan with no issues and at the same time installed a hammer spring with no issues.

Tony at TT advised it is likely my automatic safety and walked me through removing it and I will be doing so tonight. I dont mind manual engagement of a safety I think thats how it should be and ill likely be doing this mod to my texan too.
