Taipan Taipan Veteran Standard .25 cal

I always engage my safety on when breaking down the Taipan. Helps to keep the trigger rod in the right spot. Also keep your screws just a little loose and mount the action back in the rifle. Tighten down the stock bolts when you know it is in the right spot and then tighten down the barrel/airtube clamps with the bolts you can reach. Pull the action and tighten down the bottom airtube clamps.

Thanks for the advice! Appreciate that. I'll remember that next time.

Got it all o-rings replaced. I'll air it up tomorrow to see if it holds air. Wasn't too bad to do. About the same as my Gen 1 Mrod in difficulty I'd say. We got 17.5 inches of rain here in southern Somerset County Pennsylvania last month! Had major flooding! Washed out main roads and bridges. Worst I've seen in probably 35 years. Our usual monthly May average rainfall should be around 5 inches.
Did you fix the air leaking at the end? I have several videos in my YT channel but are in Spanish, anyway sometimes can help to see how to fix some issues. Taipan is easy to fix and one of the best airguns overall. Greetings

You're right. When I put it back together to try the trigger, it didn't work. So I loosened the screw on the rod and adjusted it just a tiny bit. Works good now. Triggers on these Taipan guns are amazing. I've shot a lot of air rifles, and I'd say these Taipan triggers are some of the best.
Before disassembling, put a mark on the barrel where the brackets are. When you put it together just line the brackets with your mark. I use silver marker it rubs off after easily.

I got it all resealed. Just haven't had a chance to put air to it yet. My work has been taking up a lot of my time. Soon as I get a free moment, I'll stick the compressor on it and air it up.
