Taipan Taipan Veteran Standard .25 cal

Hello all,
I purchased a Taipan Veteran standard in .25 cal. from Talon Tunes back in 2018. It has developed a leak somewhere? Tony is currently out of stock of the o-ring kits. Does anyone on here know where I can get them? My local hardware store has a decent selection of o-rings but they're all SAE sizes. Taipan seems to use metric size o-rings. I've searched the internet high and low on these o-ring kits but I have struck out in finding them. Any help would be appreciated! I did a total disassemble and reseal on my Gen 1 Mrod. I'm sure I can handle this Taipan as well. From what I'm reading they seem fairly easy to work on. Thanks in advance!

Some good info on this post. Best place to buy orings is from “orings and more”. You usually have to buy atleast $1 worth of each oring but most are like pennys each. So you end up with tons. Shipping is $7. For about $20 shipped you’ll have 10 lifetimes worth haha

Thank you! Appreciate it. I'll look into this.

Just ordered the o-rings from "orings and more" you're right...I'll have enough for the rest of my life x10! Haha

I just got my orings and more order. Orings for my krait and katran. This is what you get when you spent about $28 (TYD)Lifetime supplies for you and about a dozen buddies 😂

Raining here in Pennsylvania. So I decided to reseal the Taipan today. Can you see that small o-ring inside the regulator? Looks damaged. Hopefully that one is the culprit.

I’m not sure if that would cause a leak or possibly reg issues?. Someone on here will know im sure. How do the old orings feel? I’ve resealed guns and never found the culprit of the leak. Once it has all new orings it’ll probably seal right up.

Good luck and let me know how it goes. My Mutant is going to need done soon. Looks to be a simpler gun to work on.

Some of the old o-rings were getting hard and not very supple anymore. Now that I have it all torn apart, I'm not quite sure which one it may be?

I’m sure you’ll have it going soon. It’s been raining off/on here too. It’s getting dark out again. As soon as rain starts I’m going to go inside and work on something airgun related lol

Got it all o-rings replaced. I'll air it up tomorrow to see if it holds air. Wasn't too bad to do. About the same as my Gen 1 Mrod in difficulty I'd say. We got 17.5 inches of rain here in southern Somerset County Pennsylvania last month! Had major flooding! Washed out main roads and bridges. Worst I've seen in probably 35 years. Our usual monthly May average rainfall should be around 5 inches.

You are correct. Some of the o-rings were in bad shape. Not supple any more. I was mistaken when I took that photo. This was my 1st time doing a reseal on this gun.
A sneaky difference between this and a Mrod is you might not have the same trigger feel after reassembling a Taipan. If you are off a tiny bit on where you clamp down on the tube, you just changed the rod length.

You're right. When I put it back together to try the trigger, it didn't work. So I loosened the screw on the rod and adjusted it just a tiny bit. Works good now. Triggers on these Taipan guns are amazing. I've shot a lot of air rifles, and I'd say these Taipan triggers are some of the best.
