This Taipan Veteran .177 was originally member Kdog's...who sold it to a buddy of mine, I sold my buddy the stock that I got from member ChuckHunter in a trade back in early '20 I believe and I've had an eye on this rig for 5 years. My buddy is out of the airgun hobby now and we finally got the deal done. From the beginning I knew from the targets Kdog posted it was an accurate gun also it has the shinny smooth anodizing I prefere, I like to polish these smooth anodized Vets with polishing compound, as seen in the pix, the custom stock hasn't been in the public eye for about 5 years. With the stock and polishing job I think it turned out quite nice...Some eye candy for Veteran fans. Haven't shot it very much but what I've seen so far is promising. This is my second .177 vet in recient weeks, the .177s aren't as forgiving as the .22 Vets...feed them 18 gr JSBs at a normal speed...done. the one hole group was at 25yds off my knee with the JSB 10.34s at 875fps...the cardboard was at 47.5 yds. The two 10 shot groups were benched with JSB 13.43s, the two fliers between the groups were sighters. The group top right was 10.34s. That was my first serious shoot with this .177.
