Taipan Veteran ring height question

Today I ordered a .22 long Taipan Veteran from Talon Tunes. I have had an Arken Optics SH4 Gen 2 on order for a month and it should be getting here in a couple of weeks. I thought I will just mount it on the Taipan when it arrives and wanted to make sure my scope ring height was going to be close enough to work well. The Arken is 6-24x50 with a 34mm tube. I ordered the medium height rings and they show to be 1.26” tall. Does anyone with a Veteran think this ring height will be OK? I would rather contact Arken now and request a different ring height if needed instead of finding out it doesn’t work well when the scope and rings show up. I do realize that shooter form will dictate if the rings are a comfortable height, I just wanted a general opinion if these rings would work.

I've got a 50mm mounted with low on mine. What he said.

I like medium height rings on mine

I got fat cheeks and I can not get my face down on low heights, Medium can work 

but are very uncomfortable , I always have to go for the high mounts for the right fit.

Everybody is different: I'm tall with a long neck. High rings work best for my body.

I have medium rings for taipan and cricket too. In the taipan is Falcon 3-18x50 FFP and crichet has sidewinder 6,5-20x44

Objective bell clearance to the rail "Can Be" an issue if scopes length or eye relief is short.

Too low and a forward position can have Ocular bell contact rear area of rail as well.



Have two Taipans myself and due to the above issues BOTH have different ring heights.

Thanks guys. I'll just leave the scope order as is and try out the medium rings.

I use 1.1 inch high 34mm rings on my Veteran long with a scope with 56mm objective bell and think the height is about perfect. I experimented with a few different 3D printed cheek rests of various heights to pair with the the rings, and a 3mm high rest fits me the best. Your head placement preferences may vary.
