Taipan Veteran "O" ring replacement video?

A friend of mine (he doesn't belong to the forum) owns about a 5 year old Standard Vet in .25. And its in need of an "O" ring replacement. I tried looking on Youtube for a video outlining the procedure, but came up empty. Are there any members that might know if such a video exists? I would consider doing this job if I could find good instructions. Otherwise, who are some of the resident Veteran "mechanics" here on AGN? Thanks in advance

I've been in a few Vets, but no expert.

This guy on youtube has a couple videos that are helpful. This first one is basically a de-gassing tutorial.

Some of his other vids go further in depth on how to get to all the orings.

The Veteran is a pretty simple gun.

Here's the list I used for the oring kit I put together for mine. Compiled that list from a couple of forum posts others had shared. I've seen some oring lists on the forums though that are not correct. With this list I've not yet found an oring in the gun that one of those sizes wouldn't replace.

Feel free to PM me if you get into trouble or need some help and if If I'm able, I'll try to help.

Thanks so much for reaching out! I own a Vet myself, and mine came with an owners manual with the sizes for the O-rings. I actually got a replacement kit of rings for mine, but I'm keeping it for me, just in case. I've been trying to see if there's an airgun vendor that sells the complete kit.
So far, I'm striking out, so I may have to wade thru one of those confusing O ring stores online.

Been awhile since I looked at the manual but I'm vaguely remembering that it doesn't have a complete oring list.......But again, I'm not positive on that.

I also know that new ones come with some orings, but not a complete reseal kit, just the ones that Taipan must figure are going to wear out the fastest.

That screen grab I included above is my order summary from "The Oring Store" so at least that oring website lists them that way.

And just as an fyi, the same oring size is used in a couple different places in the Vet.

Yes, I agree, the oring websites can be a bit cumbersome to navigate.

@Franklink do you happen to know the oring size used to hold pellets in the .25 vet magazines?

One of my gripes with the Taipan, is that none of the United States dealers carry replacement O-rings, and they don’t even know the sizes.

I will get out my calipers and see if I can size that O-ring for you

Mag o rings are listed as 1.5 x 24. I'm pretty sure all calibers are the same, but I can check my .25 when I get home. FWIW, I emailed taipan a while back asking for o ring sizes and received the attached list (originally asked about .177, but many sizes are the same across calibers)-

O-rings

94 O-ring 4.47x1.78 3
95 O-ring 6.07x1.78 1
or O-ring 5.28x1.78 1
96 O-ring 9.25x1.78 1
97 O-ring 11x2 1
99 O-ring 13.5x2 1
100 O-ring 13x2.5 1
101 O-ring 23x3 4
102 O-ring 24x1.5 4

In reducer
O-ring 7x2 1
O-ring 2.9x1.78 1
O-ring 12.42x1.78 1
O-ring 9.25x1.78 1
O-ring 6.07x1.78 1

set of spare parts
