Taipan Veteran Issue Resolved

My Taipan Veteran .22 was experiencing an intermittent issue in which the pellet probe would not retract fully because the trigger was not resetting, which also interfered with the indexing and removal of the magazine. Turning the 2nd stage tension screw CW fixed this issue. This screw is fourth from the front on the trigger ass’y and required heat from a soldering gun to loosen the thread lock. Rifle is super accurate and trigger is sublime. The laminate stock, while heavy, is a pleasure to use.

That screw should not have had thread locker on it. Did you buy it new? Also, I can't figure how it would have caused the problem. That is merely the spring tension on the sear release. Oh well, add it to the list of things I don't understand.

Screw DID have threadlocker on it. Look at links and you will see why turning screw CW, preloading spring resolved issue.
