So I just got me a taipan veteran and I already have the tail installed. Now I’m just looking for an affordable bipod to go with it but not too pricey. I really like the looks of the accu-tac bipods but they really are pricey. Any suggestions?
I would suggest looking in the "Other parts and accessories " area and look up the different reviews by Tominco. He has some good information that might you decide.
I'm using an UTG Heavy Recon 360 bipod I bought from Amazon. It was a bit hard to move at first but I'm happy with how solid this bipod is. Used an Atlas clone before but for precision shooting a lot of tiny movements here and there.
The UTG is rock solid, easy to extend the legs, can adjust to 45 degree angle, not that heavy, and affordable.
I was looking into an AccuTac but the weight scared me a bit.
I recently bought a Veteran Standard, and decided to just add a simple stud and use one of my Harris bipods. This thing is heavy enough as is, so I see no need to add the additional weight of a "more robust" bipod. I use an Atlas on some rifles and it's a very good product but, for my uses, it does nothing that the cheaper and lighter Harris cannot do.
As long as it’s quality and sturdy I don’t mind the size. It looks good so I’ll give it a try. I’ll just remove it before putting it away. Thank you so much for your help.
