Taipan Veteran 25 first outing

This is the first time I shot the Veteran I bought here at AGN in the classifieds. Now this group was done after sighting in the scope at 50 yards. It was damn cold 38 degrees and frost on the car when I went out. When I went prone on the cement the cold ran thorough by feeble southern California clothing like water goes through a pasta strainer. Yes cold!!!! This is a 1" square I use to sight in on.

It was a pretty good group with the one "flyer" I called....I will try and shoot a few more groups tomorrow before the rain comes in...Did I say it was cold out?

Nothing wrong with that group dude. Especially considering the brutal conditions for a southern boy to have to endure

Impressive!

My Taipan Veteran .22 Standard produces similar groups at that range. This Bullpup is lightweight, ergonomic and surprisingly attractive in person.

The pellet is the JSB Exact King 25.39 grain....When I did the chrono work on it it was right at 940 PFS...DonnyFL Speed Dialer and their Koi moderator.....

Nice group at 50 yards. nice first out.

I wasn't that happy with my first time out with my Veteran standard. But, now I love it. We weren't in sync the first time. 1 had 1.5" at 50 yards. You should be a happy frozen man.

Now...if ONLY Taipan could design a less bulky stock for that incredibly powerful and accurate gun!

The Veteran will shoot right up there with guns costing twice as much. Short of using a mechanical bench rest...I absolutely cannot outshoot this gun. Mine is .25 Long. Incredibly quiet at 930 fps.

I totally agree, that is the only Cons on that AG. I am trying to find someone locally that could get some nicer curves on that stock.

Well today was 58 degrees so going prone wasn't that bad . These 2 groups were at the 50 again. I did shoot a 10 round string with 2 flyers, but I had to get off the range for training otherwise pictures would have been taken. Still a pretty decent group.....This rifle is a dream to shoot!!!!!
