Taipan Taipan Veteran .25 cal

Looking for a stock regulator for a .25 caliber Taipan Veteran Bullpup. Bought it new in 2018. Got a Huma regulator for it and it won't work in my gun. I'd like to find one that hasn't been disassembled. I did a reseal on my gun and took the reg apart to replace o-rings. I shouldn't have done that. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm located in southwestern Pennsylvania. Thanks all!

You could try Tony @Talon Airguns. He is currently out of stock of Human regs for the Vet, hit the "notify" link. Good chance he can get you on the right track.
Good luck.
Bought the gun from him. I'm about at wits end with it. Had it apart now 8 maybe 10 times. Tried the Huma regulator every which way. Always leaks out the atmosphere hole for the vent. Bought the reg directly from Huma for this gun. I asked of he would fix it for me if I paid to have it shipped to and from him and whatever any costs incurred by him for the repairs. Never really got a straight yes or no from him. Paid almost $1,300 for it that I had to pinch, scrimp, and save for! I'm about ready to sell it for whatever I can get out of it and take my losses.

My first guess is the spacer in front of the regulator is the wrong length.

This part that Im calling the spacer is a little aluminum tube, open-ended on both ends. If it's not the correct length, your reg isn't in the right place in the air tube, and you leak out the vent hole.

Seems like I remember some guys using a belt sander to make the spacer the correct length.

Ok. So Huma sent me 2 different length spacers that go in behind the reg. I matched up my stock spacer with the one Huma sent me and it still leaked air out the vent hole.

Oh crap!! The spacer goes in front of the reg? Like towards the end where you connect your air line from the compressor? I was putting it behind the reg, towards the butt end of the stock.

Honestly can't remember right now the order. I just know if the spacer is the wrong length then you got leaks out the vent hole in the tube.

You tried both sizes that Huma supplied and it leaks either way?

Here are 2 pictures sent to me by HUMA

One shows the original Vet1 regulator oriented properly in the gun

The other shows
The original regulator side by side with the HUMA reg & plenum

I really don’t understand why guys put a Huma reg in a Veteran, the regs in my Vets are way more precise than the Huma in my Krait.
I did a reseal on my vet. O-rings were shot. Wouldn't hold air no more. So I did a disassemble of the gun and installed new o-rings. I took the reg apart to replace the o-rings on the inside. (Stupid on my part) When I reassembled the gun, now I can't get it to shoot. Evidently I screwed the reg up when I took it apart. So to get me back shooting, I read where several have put Huma regs in the vet. So that's what I did. (Again, stupid on my part!) I installed the Huma and it leaks out the vent hole however I have it oriented in the gun. Now I'm up poop creek in a leaky canoe without a paddle!

I would suggest trying the other size of reg spacer.

And looks like you were correct, per schematics, that the reg should be farther away from the breech block, and the reg spacer closer to the breech block.
I'll try it. I'll be a pro at taking this damn thing apart and putting it back together again!
