Just went to Utah, it’s the same as Tony, 550mm barrel which is the basic size of the old long veteran.

If Taipan is watching the market they will bring out a compact soon. They need something unless they are just handing that market to BRK, FX, AAA , .
Even with a 550mm barrel they can still be pretty short. , but some will want two feet or less.
Who's buying the first Veteran 2 ? Those CZ barrels are capable of some great accuracy.

They had said their lack of a compact was due to lack of interest. Markets do change though, so who knows!

Lol yeah. Still frustrating that it's called a "compact". Ain't nothing compact about it.
I have followed closely, whether standard or tactical, there are 2 current versions, 550 and 700 mm barrels. 700 are polygonal 550 seem CZUB. Unchoked for both.

Where are the reviews and threads about the Vet 2? So many happy customers raved about the first version. Is this one comparable? Lackluster? Any standout features? Flaws?

Nothing about the Taipan Veteran-2 jumps out at me enough to make me want to buy it. I am happy with my Veteran-1.

Just got one for my first PCP and cannot complain about anything. It's an absolute tack driver, cocking lever is smooth as silk, trigger is fantastic. The fit and finish is outstanding, everything is so precise. Solid as a rock, no wiggle, rattles or flexing anywhere.

Anyone know why the Taipan V2T is not available anywhere online? Did they go out of business? I just bought one in August of this year.

@preciadocisco Talon Tunes still has some Vet II 2PCs in stock according to their site. You just have to play with the different stock options and configurations to see which ones. I mainly see 550mm barrels in stock in both calibers. I'm nit sure on the difference between the Vet 2T and the Vet 3 PC.
