Taipan Vet 700mm CZ barrel First Pest!

So I got my taipan vet set up for 45 fpe with .22 jsb Redesigns. Thought my first pest would be at 50 yards and beyond. NOT. I happen to look in my backyard and see this mole rat making a fresh mound of sand on my grass. My dogs will usually see them and dig a giant hole. Argh!! Such a pain! Not this time! Took care of this one myself. Only a 8 or 9 yard shot. But it almost seem more difficult because I didn't really know the exact hold over. Turned my Arken SH4 down to 4 power and my focus down to 10 yards. aimed nearly 4 mils high. BAM! Took the top of his skull off. Feels good to get one. Very rare opportunity for me.

45 fpe... I am glad you had enough gun for that wild beast

Those close shots are hard to get done. A skunk and I had an extended conversation at 5 yards. I ended up sighting down the side of the shroud rather than try to use the scope.

Ha! Great way to christen your new Taipan with 700mm, great shot! And, really close shots and incline/declines take some getting used to.

I want one of the long .22's in a green laminate.

They're able to push 44 grain RBT slugs at 1040 when tuned for it, and stack them. Good gun

Ha! My dogs (APBT and ACD) work as a team to get 'em---I rarely see one above ground to shoot.
