Taipan Tuning - Vet Standard .25

Airguns are addicitive.....Been trying to find those magic numbers for quite some time now....right now, testing the .25. Start by saying, No, the gun is not stock and No, I don't have a lathe or any machining tools so it's all Dremel and DIY stuff that anyone can do. Started off shooting 48gr. AVS HP/BTs @ 970-980fps range - dropped that to 930's but still very low shot count - like 15max. adjusted the reg. several times and now down to 900-910fps @ 17-18 shots. Down a bit more, 900-905 @ 19shots....trying to get 20 solid shots on a tank full. Getting there....however, gun does seem to shoot slightly better with 50gr slugs vs 48s. Those 50s hit hard and the AVS 50 is about the longest projectile you'll get to fit in the Taipan magazine - 50 Griffin BT's don't fit, 48gr is the longest you can do with Griffin. The saga continues....would love to hear more from other folks that are on this same road.

Pics are 75yrds - target on left = 20 shots, 48gr. @ 915-920 - two smaller targets on the right are 10 shots each @ 900-905. few flyers are human error, gun shoots better than I do. Back to adjusting the reg., - or HS or both - trying to get at least 20shots @ 900. Hope I don't have to adjust too much to switch over & shoot 50s. Note: few hundred .22 and .25 slugs, selling on ebay right now if anyone is interested.
