I just wanted to take a little time to brag on my latest PCP purchase. A month ago i twisted mtnGhosts arm into selling me his Taipan SuperVet Compact .22. Some of the upgrades include:

  • Custom valve system that can generate high performance and is darn near indestructible.
  • Custom hammer system made from a tool steel, customer spring, and a really nice HST adjustment knob
  • He did some work to the factory moderator (Delrin bushing insert) that really reduces shot report
  • Custom biathlon cocking lever
  • Lapped the chamber, re-crowned the muzzle chamfering, and full bore polish on the factory barrel.

I'm currently shooting it at 840 FPS 18.13 and seeing amazing accuracy. Unfortunately i have only been able to shoot it at 40 yds, due to the size of the area i typically shoot in. Gino swears i can expect the same results at distances up to 100 yds. I am currently using an Athlon Talos 4-14X44 scope. I purchased a new black stock for it, just because i prefer the black over the factory brown stock. Hopefully I can upload some pics of my 40 yard results. I was shooting from a table top with an Atlas bipod and back bag.

Just wanted to brag a little on the amazing work Gino did on this little bullpup.

Hey Terry—get an Ares or Midas for that Tier 1 airgun!!😍 You sold me the most accurate 177 I have ever owned in your search for the perfect PCP!
I follow Gino’s posts also and am in awe of his skills!

You are a lucky man——I have not yet convinced my self to give up at least 3 airguns or a motorcycle to own 1 of his personal creations!! You definitely have the bragging rights!! Stay well my friend! (and get a 100 yd range😉

I can vouch for @Yandeltx - he was definitely motivated to own this rifle and I was happy to get it to him! Like all of my custom Vets, they are absolutely capable of shooting dime to nickel size groups at 100y with the right optics in the right conditions 😎

It's a 1 of 1 build like the other two that I'm parting with, but they're listing for sub-$2K prices. The machining and fabrication time varies with each of the three rifles that I've decided to offer, but I can say that I have put a great deal of smithing work into each of them (multiple thousand's of dollars worth in the case of the SV/BlingVet). I have ensured that each rifle is both powerful and sub-MOA accurate to the maximum capabilities of the projectiles that I recommend for each specific barrel, and every component that I have added are executed with durability and aesthetics in mind.

I have to be honest, I've had some very disappointing experiences in listing rifles though (mainly insulting low ball offers for rifles priced more than fairly from very unreasonable people), so I have no desire nor intention of building any further rifles for sale. However, @Yandeltx is one who thankfully appreciates the value and uniqueness of the time and effort put into one of my rifle builds. I know that he is very happy with it and that is very gratifying to me!
