Taipan short 22 with slugs?

i was lookin for a compact gun that would shoot slugs possibly. has anyone tried the 22 short taipan with slugs

I want to say the barrel has a 1 in 17” twist so you’d have to rebarrel it for shooting bullets, and it would need some careful smithing to get the velocity up to something useful with heavy projectiles.

Perhaps explain your expectations and folks can give better advice.
