Took the .30 WAR Flex & .30 Vulcan Tactic synthetic to my buddies range. Shot at 60, 75 & 100 yards. I documented a few 60 & 100 yard groups.
The Flex is a no nonsense, AR like, robust airgun. It’s got a nice 2-stage Timney Elite trigger group. It is very easily adjustable for power as the reg is externally adjustable. You can also change calibers easily with barrel and probe changes. It’s a beast in .30. With a DonnyFL Shogun, it’s very quiet for the power. It has a tensioned TJ barrel. This one is set for 86 FPE. It will get 30 regulated shots at this setting from a 275 bar fill. It uses a Marauder type mag which is 7-shot in .30. Cocking effort is rather high as it is a straight pull back bolt. Here are groups from 60 & 100. To be fair, I only shot one group with the Flex from 100 yards. Using bags, it was difficult to be precise as the AR stock isn’t rear rest friendly for benching. FYI, the stock and grips are interchangeable with about any AR offerings so there are better stocks out there for benchrest purposes.
The Vulcan Tactic in synthetic is a nice weapon. It’s well built and easy to shoot. It couldn’t handle, in my opinion, the abuse that a Flex could but is more refined I’d say and is in no way fragile. The trigger is a nice 2-stage. I haven’t tuned this gun at all and shot it as it was delivered. It’s shooting at 75 FPE. It gets 20 shots from a 250 bar fill. The Vulcan utilizes a CZ barrel. It has a nice self-indexing mag that is aluminum cased. It is a 9-shot mag in .30. It has a nice Sidelever that is switchable from left to right. Cocking effort is minimal and very smooth. With a DonnyFL Sumo it is quietish but not as quiet as the Flex with a Shogun. The stock has a nice adjustable comb for a customized cheek-weld position. Here are groups from 60 & 100.
