Tactacam Solo Extreme, FTS Setup, 1st Video

Hey Guys

Just received a Tactacam Solo Extreme camera and the Film Through Scope ( FTS ) mount.

I will get a little deeper as i go on with this setup, I'll get into the basics of setting it up and my honest opinion ..

For now just wanted to post up a quick video and a pic of the setup on one of my guns

1st Tip- Turn Off Image Stabilizer

The image stabilizer does indeed eat more battery. That is 1 issue i have with it.

I also found it to be a real pita while shooting off the bench. I probably shot 15 videos "chasing" the damn reticle location before figuring out the stabilizer was "correcting." which in turn was moving the reticle in the video.
In other words every time I lifted the ass of the gun to get on target the stabilizer sensed the movement thus shifting the reticle out of center.

I guess if you were woods walking or something like that it would be beneficial?

In 1 of the youtube vids i watched before buying this, i believe its the cyclops vid, they had mentioned to turn off the stabilizer.

To FLgunner- Yes i am a lefty, hence the camera being mounted on the "wrong" side.. Lol

I will have Much more on this setup as i go, and if you guys have any questions i will do my best to answer them for you.
