Is this scope still kinda the gold standard when it comes to air rifles? I know those words might be out there for some but I’ve not read anything really negative about them either. That $500 price point is getting flooded with a bunch of scopes these days and wondered if swfa is the close to the creme of the crop. My use is hunting and occasional target shooting just to figure out why I missed something hunting. It’s Black Friday and my wallet is already cringing from the 100cf tank I bought today and figured what the hell might as well get the scope to. Most importantly I hope the reticle on the ffp mil. scope is usable in the woods.

+1 swfa scopes are the poop! You might not get all the fancy features and a 600 color illuminated reticle (which is super useful! pffffft.) but you do get rugged quality that will no doubt last a lifetime. And that swfa will ACTUALLY track correctly which is a bonus!

Great scope indeed. I settled on it for my custom AR-15.
For airguns I personally prefer the fixed 10X with side focus. IMO it is one of the finest Air Rifle hunting scopes available.
A guy can’t go wrong with the Swfa 3-15.

I'm about to find out. Bought a FFP mil quad/mil on Black Friday from SWFA for $499. Bought a new, no box SFP MOA Quad/MOA from a private party for $400.

Best scope on the market at 500$ ...No a doubt in my mind . And I've tested quite a few
Joe I have no reason to doubt you but have you reviewed the Sightron S TAC 3-16x42 if so how does it compare to the SWFA? My only experience was with a SWFA 16x42 and the Sightron has much much better glass clarity, the SWFA is a well built scope I'll hand you that.

Anyone has shipping issues with SWFA? Placed my order on Thursday about 11 pm. Friday, while I'm out shopping locally, a young lady named Lindy X8311, calls me about my order. I did not get the message until after they were closed, I called Saturday, they were closed. I called on Monday and a guy says they have me at an IL address where I haven't lived for like 7 years. The shipping address I gave them on Thursday was correct, the billing address was correct, the CC went through, it's in the same town as the shipping address and you held my shipment up for a 7 year old address. Really?

Honestly, I don’t know. Others more knowledgeable than I will chime in I’m sure. I know it does not have zero stop, but there are aftermarket kits to put it on. Even after calling today, all my package says islabel created on Friday Nov 23 at 9;45 am

No lockable turrets . I'm hoping to try a Sightron soon ...I have 2 Vortex scopes that will be ready in week or so . Video editing takes a While

What vortex scopes do you have joe? I just bought the diamondback tactical 4-16 ffp. If that’s not one that you have I can send you mine as long as you promise to send it back lol. I’d even pay return shipping if you want to review it.

I watched the zero stop mod on YouTube last night after work. Seems so easy, I’ll think I’ll try it. If I knew how to do the linky thing I would for everyone. Don’t have all the computer skills but I’ve figured out how to hit the buy button

I saw Joe Wayne Rhea’s review on the swfa fixed 10 power and picked one up for Black Friday. All I can say is wow. For a lower priced scope, man it is good. Love joes reviews, honest and he does the box test and shows clarity. Also, the eye patch is pretty cool. Mr Cyclops. Love it.

I have the Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10 and the Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-16 . Both reviews are done and I'll make them public over the next week or so . Neither disappointed. I also am filming my most expensive scope review . One of the new Bushnell Forge series . It's their most expensive SFP scope .

I have the 10x42 fixed tactical. Love the glass and reticle. Built like a tank but..... I hate the extra length the sunshade creates. That's why it is riding in a box at the moment.
