I'd appreciate any advice or viewpoints on a scope for an incoming FX Impact. Newbie here- I'm clear on the differences between first and second focal plane, differences in the reticle illumination / layout, etc. Lacking real world experience, unclear which will serve me better for my use case- which is a combination of ongoing ground squirrel control, plinking, and non-competitive home 'field target' play. I understand that a less expensive scope will do the job, but want to err on the side of quality up into the $800 range.

SWFA 3-15x42 FFP or Hawke Frontier 2.5-15x50 SFP?

And you can't really compare SWFA to a Hawke Frontier that actually doesn't exist. Been trying to buy / looking for one like many others. They aren't here yet. Wish they were!
