SWFA 16X42

I finally got the SWFA scope I ordered on Black Friday. Apparently they sold a lot of scopes, because thee were a number that were on back order for a while. I have not had the opportunity to get it on a gun and sighted in yet due to the weather. Getting antsy. I have a 10X42 and love it, but was wanting a 16X42 for more precise aiming at my favorite pests at the longer distances. Now we will see if it is too much magnification and I should have gone with a 12X42 instead.

I have three of the 20x fixed SWFA scopes and they are all amazing. I don't think the 16x will be too much. I have heard the 16x is the perfect compromise though, as my 20x's can be a little dark in low light conditions (high power and small objective lens I suppose). I only went with the 20x for the increased ranging ability of those extra 4x. It ranges to the yard out to 30 yards and then does pretty good from 30-55. Ie. I can discern the difference between 40 and 45 yards but not 42.5 and 45 yards. So, I guess you could say it ranges in 5 yard increments past 30 yards. For the price, amazing scopes.
