N/A Sweet spot of value

So I am sidelined waiting on a part for my Air Venturi Avenger 22 cal, considering picking up a new rifle and am a bit overwhelmed with the choices out there. I am not looking to spend thousands on a PCP, can only really shoot occasionally because of where I live, am not hunting (but am an advocate for pest control), and want a reliable option to make a metal target go ding out to 100 yards. What do you recommend for the best value? I'm sticking with 22 cal. Thanks for your suggestions.

If you dont mind buying used, you can get a great price on an FX Wildcat or Maverick right now. They have been going for $950-$1050. Or there are still some nice Taipan Veteran Gen 1 out there. But straight up value right now today, I would have to say an AirForce Condor for $413 is unbeatable. Add the FATS adapter for a moderator if thats your jam.

I would vote for a Marauder with the Lothar barrel. They aren't a sidelever, but they have a VERY good trigger after a minor mod, and are capable of great accuracy. They can be modded more than almost anything else and have readily available parts. Easy to work on too.

Also be sure to check Airgun Revisions Bargain page. He gets Benjamin higher end series made in Turkey for amazing prices. He has an Akela in 177Cal right now. When these are in stock they are the best value you will find anywhere, but they are usually sold out.

Thanks for the great advice. I don't mind buying used and have learned a lot just recently about the options. I really think $500 can get you a quality reliable option. $1000 seems to be another level for those who want to tinker with adjustments, but once you adjust for accuracy and shot count, do you really keep adjusting things? And how close to the factory settings do you end up? Just asking
