If you make a set, document what you're doing. I plan on documenting my procedure also.Man those are lovely slugs! I need to grab some material and see what can be done on the mini lathe
Did you make a D-reamer to make the die?I did not check because I do not have any equipment in this caliber. It was about checking if I can make a die for such a small caliber![]()
just curious ? do you warm up the lead before hand ? seems to me it might form more uniformly ?Prototype, Slug .177 weight 0.92 grams. For comparison, on the right, JSB KO .22

It's not necessary. Pure lead will flow pretty easily even with a regular reloading heavy duty press.just curious ? do you warm up the lead before hand ? seems to me it might form more uniformly ?
