Survival adapter issues

I purchased the Survival airguns dovetail to picatinny adapter for the AEA HP pistol and the machining is not good. When I go to tighten it down on the dovetail it kicks up off the rail by at least .015 of an inch. Throws the picatinny out of level much more than I would like. I understand this isn't top of the line stuff I'm working with but is there any better options for this? Problem is that I have a nice pistol scope that I want to use but I need to push it as far forward on the mount that I can. Hence the Survival adapter. Or do I just ignore it and level the gun @ the dovetail then level the scope. I'm using a starrett machinist level. Have had very good results setting up other guns with this procedure.

Thanks

John
