Thanks for the reply Steve. I’m not concerned with getting a fake, I just really want to know what is going on with LRA. I was able to use one, when they were originally available a while back, but it was a friends and I only got to use it for 3-4 hours. I do remember three things...It was crazy light, it was very well made and it was rock solid. I remember thinking to myself that something felt wrong, for the weight it didn’t seem possible for it to be so stable with absolutely no flex or movement at all!
The whole story about the original owner not getting a patent, running out of money and then just walking away is so bizarre. At one point I read on the internet that people were very upset that a new company was making the LRA bipod again and “taking advantage” of the original owner. Yes, it’s a sad story, but come on people...In the business world, if you neglect to apply for a patent, then you’re asking for trouble! The new owners were actually smart to jump on it, patent it themselves and takeover, having had someone else already do all the hard work!
Anyway, I was just hoping to get a little more information about what actually happened.
Back to Surely...I am jealous and envious but still very excited for you. It’s the most beautiful, sexy piece of kit that I’ve ever seen. Every part just looks perfect with every other part...The barreled action, the stock, the rings and scope, the bipod, and everything else look superb together.
Mike should start paying you kick backs for all of the traffic his web site is going to see, the questions he’s going to receive and pre orders that he’s about to get!!!
Mike N, if you read this, you have outdone yourself, this is an absolute work of art. Steve C, same goes for you, the stocks you make are absolutely amazingly beautiful. Put the two together and the you guys have created a masterpiece! I fine shooting work of art that will actually get used! Surely will be the talk of the town wherever she shows up. Awesome!
