It’s probably been discussed several times already but I’m not very proficient at the sites search function....
I have an FX Crown Mk1 in .25 with the regular 600mm barrel kit using a Smooth Twist X liner. It is currently shooting 3/8” groups at 50 yds with 25.39 JSBs, so I’m very happy with that. But I would like to be able to shoot slugs for distance and for the variety in weights. I understand the Superior Liner is good with both pellets and some slugs, especially the FX Hybrids. However, the Hybrids are very pricey and I want to shoot NSAs, etc. Do I need the Superior Heavy liner? Is it still good with pellets down to the 25.39s? I’m currently sitting on a box each of NSA 29.0 and 33.5s which grouped horribly out of my STX liner (hey, I had to try!)
Any thoughts on which liner for Santa to bring me will be greatly appreciated. Slug type/weight too!!
