I must be missing something. I tried to attach the included sunshade on my scope and it seems to not want to go on. What am I missing? Is there a removable lenses that I don’t see?

Look closely and you’ll see the there is a small “thread protecting” ring that you need to unscrew before you can screw on the sunshade.

There is sometimes a small ring on the end of the scope to protect the fine threads Incase you bump the scope. That ring should thread into the sunshade to protect it unless no threads or a protective ring built in.

Also, if you have trouble with getting the ring off by hand. Get a mouse pad and use the bottom of it to grip it, and it will come off easier. I just did this last week with mine.
