Sunday fun with this german trio

Its hot here in PR, The BBQ is ready and the churrasco is marinating, perfect afternoon for some breaking in of my brand new HW97k Tactical Stainless. Man this thing is awesome! This is the fourth HW97k that I've owned since I first got interested in airgunning. By far this is my favorite. The previous were .20 cal and for some reason once I got my Air Arms TX200HC .22 I felt that the HW97s lacked the power of the Air Arms so I sold them. This one is a .177 and based on the chrony results by AoA, its putting 15.15 pounds with JSB Exact 8.44.

This one feels right at home with perfect balance between power and accuracy. This gun is just ridiculously accurate. I'm not a great shot but with this thing I'm great. Compared to the HW35e, the HW35e is less forgiving. With the HW35e I need to put in the effort to shoot it right or I'll get crappy groups.

I have less than 100 rounds thru it so I'm just starting my affair with it but so far I'm very happy with it. The shooting cycle is sharp and the level of noise its manageable, it doesn't mess with my tinnitus and I'm very about that. The recoil is straight back and it doesn't twist when the spring is expanding like my HW35e does. I'm a sucker for stainless finish and since I didn't own a synthetic stock gun, this one fills the bill perfectly .

My only gripe, which totally unjustifiable, (but my OCD demands that I find stuff like this), is that the under lever finish is slightly different than rest of the gun. Its a little bit less polished. The rest is just perfect.

I'm now looking for a nice scope for it (please feel free to recommend or even offer something if you have something for sale) . The one in the picture is an old Swift that works fine but the lenses have gotten yellow over the years, oh and the turrets smell like spoiled fish, jeje.

Ive been looking at the MTC Mamba Ultralight that seems like a good fit for my budget. Cheers!
