The Sumatra platform is a great hunting gun and I would highly recommend this gun to any hunter.

If you try to bump the power up it would be good for hunting but there's a consequence if you are a long distance target shooter.

The Sumatra is not a target gun and as you could see, the bantam out shot it. I will be using this gun to hopefully get a coyote and with a 50 yard 2 inch group, it could easily shoot one with no problems

Well to be honest my all time smallest 6shot group that iv seen or shot was with 25cal sumatra 17mm c-t-c at 100meters with external regulator ofc. By those groups and how spread they are I would say you may have older sumatra with larger bore. It likes .253 sized bullets where nsa, huntersupply etc are way too small to shoot fine out from that bore.

Well I thought the 50 yard group was excellent considering I was shooting in 15 to 20 mph winds. The wind gusts might have been as high as 25 mph. I know the group will be smaller in calmer weather but I know what this gun can do in less then ideal conditions.

I put up this post to share with other shooters what this gun could do as a hunting gun and not as a target shooting competition gun. I didn't cherry pick my groups and showed real world hunting conditions. If your Sumatra shoots better then mine, more power to you. I'm glad for you and I wish I could give you a pat on the back and a sucker

Well you didnt say anything about high winds and sumatras sure shoot better than that so no reason to get mad about it. I tried to help you out since alot of ppl shoot wrong size bullets from sumatras and are unhappy with results. Your groups look what I had when I tried hunter supply bullets that were too small and it turned out my sumatra like all ja older sumatras are with too large bore for 249-250size slugs and need 253size instead. This dosent really play big role with pellets but slugs are different story.

Oh winds read on ur targets.. Didnt spot that from phone screen my bad..
