I'll be ordering a .177 Weihrauch HW100 BP-K. This will be used for pesting of small birds, squirrels, and rabbits in the yard with shots between 20 and 50 yards. It will also be used around the farm in barns and outbuildings with some shots as close as 5 yards. Because of the extreme ranges, I would like this scope to have variable magnification and FFP. Weight is always an issue so I don't want anything over 22 ounces. It also cannot have anything like buttons for a reticle light on the eyepiece that would interfere with a Tactacam scope mount. The lit reticle is good for barn work, but not a deal breaker if unavailable. I have 2 Bugbusters, but I'm not satisfied with the clarity at high (12X) magnification.

Spending limit is $350.

Okay those in the know, let it rip!

Here's one that would be perfect for you, except no IR reticle... Bushnell Nitro 3-12x-44 great for the ranges you'll be shooting, great glass, lightweight about 20 ounces, good solid turrets. $264 minus the $60 rebate gets it for $204. Its a deal. There is also a 4-16x44 for $25 more, also with the $60 rebate.
