N/A Suggestions on first PCP, small game hunting, and having fun.

There were many excellent recommendations on the rifle, but I have a K1 on the way. I'm impressed with the GK1 so far and greatly enjoying it. Also, I have two GX pump separators on order, but they have yet to ship after almost a week. I will post some pictures when everything arrives.
Huben are well made guns. Good choice I've had some of the ones that were on your list and wouldn't recommend them for a truck gun because poi changes was common problem. I don't abuse them but they had issues even sitting on seat in feed truck. My new GK1 25 carbine is great. Just have to find what platform works best for you.

I know the AEA HP series has a bad rap. I own 4 and I have had good luck with them. My favorite compact SA is the AEA HP SS in 22 cal. Shooting 28 ftlb and accuracy good enough to hit golf balls at 50 yds. This is a true light weight carbine. It has become my favorite dog walking gun. Picture below is the SS. As it sets the total weight on this gun is 6.1 lbs.

I have not had POA changes in these rifles. I have had low first couple shots after filling. For the most part that is cured with a PEEK poppet. Trigger on this gun is a steady 3lb. I use SA Swede mags and my rifles shoot reliably. It would be my truck gun but I have a 25 cal SS+ for that detail. Again, equipt with SE Swede. mags.

I had family this Sunday, and everyone loved the Gk1, mom enjoyed it. It was everyone's first PCP experience, and everyone shot well.
Most everyone was surprised at the power and accuracy. I have been waiting for the weather to clear since early Monday.
I grabbed my hogster, a decent scope, but I have never tried shooting anything as small as field rats. It will be interesting to see how it does on the K1. I prefer to keep the Thor sited in, but I may switch to that one. I was curious to see how well I could do with EOTech.

Love to hear about your family members enjoying the airguns and that makes it all worth the expense.

I get a kick out of my .22 Kral Empire XS every time I pick it up. Hits in the same place every time I shoot it, gets a decent shot count, is compact, and it is made of solid and metal parts in places where they could get away with using plastic. I was very pleasantly surprised the first time I disassembled it - looks like it was designed by someone who cares, understands, and shoots the guns.

After walking for hours in the woods this weekend, I gave up using the ATN, as it is best for the bench.
Got out oneleaf and the primary arms slx this evening, and sighted them in. I'm enjoying both hubens still. One leaf requires an external battery or a couple of spares if you plan to use it for a few hours. It eats batteries much faster than the Thor 5 or Hogster. I jammed the K1 when I let it get too low, but it was easy to degas and correct the issue. Today was the first day of decent temperatures, and I got the CS4 decently warm for the first time, but it is still performing great, and no problems have occurred so far. Shots in the video are just over 40 yards.

It was getting late, but I took a few more shots and tried the chronograph.
Ran a couple of cleaning pellets, but they were way too loud, and I will do a few
more tomorrow during lunch. They must have been doing over 1700fps, as they did not register
with the pellets in the session. Grabbed a block of foam, and it caught a few of them.
Also purchased a few smaller reactive targets. I was using the OneLeaf and was able
to hit a tpost at 46 yards consistently. K1 is way more accurate than I thought a
pcp would be.

Maverick .25 with a 600mm barrel, quiet enough with a Donny Mod, that nobody hears it 30' away, more than accurate enough at 125 yards. Wind will beat you every time but you stand a chance with the right barrel and slugs, 16:1 twist is good for slugs and pellets. Add a Carbon Fiber sleeve on the soda straw and enjoy.

A lot of experience giving very good advice here. It’s always wonderful to see. Love this forum. 90% of my Airgun fun is jeep hunting with my Airgun of the day in my custom made rear seat pouch hanging on the back of my passenger front seat. Yeah lots of jeep type banging Around. POI is definitely something you want to be aware of and buy the right rifle to avoid. My RTI prophets have never given me any issues as a truck gun. Good length, good weight, super solid build, sleek build with very few things hanging off to break, also good length for your bipod to sit at your window sill for a stable shot. Lot of tunable power available also. When I am not using my RTIs I am using my Impact M3 compact with full length upgraded backbone. Which is a must if using like this. No POI problems. Oh and let’s not forget the “fun” part. To accomplish this I believe an air gunner needs to be able to understand hoe to tune their gun, reseal/repair their gun, find OEM parts for their gun and find easily accessible PDF schematics.
