Suggestions for a fun semi pcp to take the place of powder burner plinking?

It’s kind of interesting to follow the various user groups. Airguns used to be for kids. Then it turned into a high end hobby for the affluent, particularly now that PCP guns are so sophisticated and expensive. Paintball and airsoft cater to the milsim and gaming crowd. Airsoft in particular is booming, whereas it feels like paintball has been waning. The selection of precision replica airsoft is crazy. They even make a $3500 mini gun in airsoft. In any event, probably due to design limitations but also due to the demographic of airgun shooters, I don’t see high quality replica PCP airguns coming any time soon, not that that is a bad thing. Just interesting the differences in demographics among the user groups and how the manufacturers respond to their perceived markets. But for that reason you don’t see any personal defense weapons or pistol caliber carbines in the airgun world, which really would be cool to have IMO. The Leshiy 2 probably comes closest. Sorry for the digression.

That sounds right. I believe there were a few generations of the original Leshiy. There is a long thread here on the new Leshiy 2, which is shipping to pre order customers. Not sure when the next batch will be available. I may sell my Leshiy to get the Leshiy 2. I’m a semi auto fan.

Okay, found the thread and the site that's selling off. Over $2k, that's out of my league. I'm stretching to do $1.5k after thinking the $300 Sig would be enough, lol.

I just got a regulated Diana Skyhawk for my wife to plink with, she's small, and so the Bullpup design fits her well. The rifle actually shoots pretty well too. It's a repeater, 11 shots of .177 in the removable magazine. The push rod puts the pellet in the chamber everytime, so you're not actually firing through the magazine like some designs.
