My son used my old Benjamin 392 .22 with 7 pumps, to take out this large Raccoon that was after our chickens this summer. Range was under 5 yards, 14.3 grain Crosman Premier, right between the eyes. Shot placement...
My guess is it weighed a solid 23-25 pounds, perhaps bigger. I should have weighed it and taken better pictures. It wasn't as heavy as my 35 lbs dumbells, but far heavier than my 20 lbs ones. I suspect it got fat on several chickens that had disappeared in recent months. That Benjamin probably only shoots about 575 to 600 FPS at 7 pumps. Still plenty of ZAP with those round nose pellets.
