At the conclusion of two separate Pro X shoots, 100 pellets or so, just for fun, I did a quick test comparison with my Taipan Veteran. What was the same...conditions, 18 gr JSB pellets, what was different, Styer 820fps, 16X scope, shot off bages, trigger untouched from factory. Veteran 870fps 40X scope, shot off my knee...no bench...and a perfect trigger...IMHO...and the knowledge of what the Vet can do after three years familiarization. The target board bottom left is the Veteran 5 shot also the single group shot on a different day, 5 shots also...the rest are Pro X groups 5 or 10 shots except top right the 3 shot bad group was CP domes 14.3's. Biggest factor was trigger next scope and magnification. The Pro X trigger must be addressed to challenge the Veteran, the Pro X has it's moments but needs more consistency...two nice airguns...feel blessed to own them!
