HW/Weihrauch Stretching a HW77 .22 to 75m

Welcome all,

I’ve achieved a major goal in my springer career. Today I was able to range my 77 out to 75m and beat up on a little 3.5” spinner plate. I would’ve tried the 2.5” plate, but I couldn’t see it haha.

Excellent job.
Those sights are beautiful!
Thank ya! The sights really do help. Centra high end up front, and a Gehmann diopter in the back. Almost like use a red dot. Highly highly recommended!

75 yards, iron sights, off hand..... 3.5" spinner.... Incredible shooting!!!
It’s taken a lot of practice, velocity data collection, thorough zeroing, and even had to validate my turret adjustments!

Totally worth it though. Felt like hitting steel at 1100m with a 6.5CM.

Not familiar with the Centra, but just installed Gehmann 522 adjustable front Iris on a Couple of my FWB target rifles, Gehmann that looks like yours, adjustable iris, focus lens and color filters. Does the anti glare tube on the front of that Anschutz sight help, and who made it. I have some straight Gehmann anti glare tubes on my diopers to move them back from the sight so it is closer to my eye.

This is an awesome photo of your rifle. The composition, the clarity and the color balance all come together well. It looks like it could be a magazine cover. I love those sights. Is that rear sight one package or an assembly of different components? Thanks,
Kenny

It's a Gehmann adjustable iris, with some other features, possibly a lens for better focus and possibly color filters, mounted in an Anschutz diopter sight. No idea who made that antiglare tube mounted on front of that rear diopter. The diopter looked somewhat familiar and when I enlarged the picture I verified that it is Anschutz, so at least two brands on the rear sight, and probably on on the front sight.

My rear iris is a Gehmann 551, polarizers with 1.5x diopter and iris.

The anti-glare tube definitely helps, even if the sun isn’t in front of me. It reduces the lens flare in the diopter enough to notice. It’s a Gehmann 559.

Thanks for the kind words! I’m really glad you liked the picture. iPhone cameras punch above their weight.
