Stock TX200 MIII on USA/NRA 50 foot target

I have been shooting my TX200 MIII at 50 feet (16.6 yards) a lot lately. Fall into winter time is here in Indiana. It has wind, rain, cold and even snow at times.

I like using the USA/NRA 50 target as it is a challenging target. I recently had to sort a new tin of AA Field Heavy 10.3 and so needed to recenter the scope as well. So I thought why not make a video of it.

These AA Field Heavy Diabolo 10.3 grain are sorted to 10.4 grain. I round to the tenth grain, I am not sure what anyone else does. Most the AA10.3 are really 10.4 on my scale anyway. About 5/6 of them anyway. I asl pull gross skirt and otherwise damaged pellets. I then lubricate the pellets with Beeswax (furniture polish) non-combustible.

I am shooting off a shelf which is used as a bench at the local indoor range. I use a single center bag filled with play sand (Caldwell). I usually use a target to recenter each outing as this time of year temperatures change, etc. Obviously indoors there is no wind, but the building is minimally heated. My best score is a 96 but this outing it was the 93 (I said 90 on video but it was 93). I was using a CenterPoint 6x24 scope set at x24. You may see me switch glasses as I am using my computer glasses for shooting these days as my trifocals are not a great option. I shot the 5 shot group you see in the pictures at the end of the sight in to be sure I was ready for the target shoot.

It amazes me how well this rifle does in this setting. A year ago I would not have thought I would be having this much fun with an air rifle, let along a springer air rifle. It is a great rig.
