After initial unsatisfactory results, (by my standards anyway) I removed and polished the bore of my Pro X
22 AND lightly polished the bores on one magazine...even the outside and face."first do no harm"...the bore was fouling badly after a few as 15 pellets, accuracy...note muti shot board groups before polishing was typical, after polishing, first two 5 shot groups 3/8" C to C...sub dime groups were CONSISTENT all shot at 30y 16 X scope. I shot appx 200 pellets, JSB 18s and some CP domes, mostly 18s @ 815fps 27fpe.
As much as improved accuracy note cleaning patches after 200 pellets! One wet MP-5, one dry...surprised me just how clean it was! More testing needed to see if polished mag makes any difference
...I think yes...and see if CP domes will work...but unquestionably polishing was worth the effort! Next step is to use a 40 X scope with finer cross hairs and a better bench rest to see what it will really do...and less wind. The dime referenced groups were after polishing AND were consistent...keep in mind this is a semi auto platform...never had ANY issues with functioning and trigger seems to be improving with use...no surprise. This Pro X is really starting to shine...the bore did!
