Stepped up a little.. into a HW30S

Be very sparing with chamber lube. I never lube mine. Keep hold of the barrel when you load a pellet so the barrel doesn't accidentally slam shut and bend the barrel. Regularly check the stock screw to make sure it's tight. Clean the barrel only if you lose accuracy. Store it with the barrel broken to save the breech seal from hardening. Feed it its favorite food and HAVE A BALL!!!

Congrats! I absolutely love mine. It's just a blast to shoot, litteraly all day long if I want to. Accurate and effective. Mine takes care of small rodents out to 20 yards or so. Keep the advice given above. Make sure you clean the barrel. May could consider a Vortek or Macari kit if it's too twangy. Mine was not too bad, but I did it anyway because I wanted as much of an edge as possible. Enjoy.

Hi

I also have one, and with my Steyr LG110 Hunting, is on the “will always keep” list. It is the most addictive rifle to shoot.

I fitted a very compact 4x32 scope on mine with great Japanese glass. A friend and I were at the range the other day and held a small informal competition which involved shooting a 40mm spinner at 50m. Best out of 10. This went on until we were both out of pellets. We were consistently hitting the spinner 7 to 8 times with a 10km/h wind.

I mostly shoot PCPs but this little springer just gets under my skin.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info everyone..

The caliber is .177

Even though it's not broken in, I was grouping great @ 50 using H&N Sports. It was surprising to me to have match pellets group so well, at that distance but I think it really speaks volumes to the consistency of the rifle. Well, that and absolutely perfect weather conditions.

I placed a UTG 4-16x44 Compact (Bug Buster) on the rifle and I'm very impressed. Typically I use Vortex on my powder burners, but this UTG seems to be a really good scope so far.
