Stepped Backwards Again

I bought my dream scope a NX8 to put on mt Taipan standard. It made the rifle feel awkward shooting offhand (too Me) It was mounted only a little higher but was heaver of corse. So I put my Sightron BIG SKY 4-16 back on the rifle. I wouldn't mind finding a comparable scope sometime that has a side parallax adjustment. This scope has a bold reticle that I can see well and has pretty good glass. It would also be nicer to have more graduations but no xtree. That would be perfect for me. It sure is hard buying scopes over the internet. I guess I need to see a scope before buying.

I wish I had all that lost money back from buying scopes that I tried to like only to sell them later on at a loss - but unless you try them out you never know. At least that lost $ motivated me to be more careful and I suppose I can look at this journey as a "going to school" experience. I learned what I liked and what I didn't like. Thankfully these days I have what I want for the most part! It's a great feeling!!! As always I look forward to what the next years optics Co's will bring out.
