Steel target at 310 yards

Finally got a chance to run around the lake and take a look at my 1/8” steel target. I’ve been dying to see how the hits look and whether there denting the steel.

Hits are round and they are denting the steel more than I would have thought at 310 yards.

I haven’t calculated BC for the slugs yet. Haven’t even run them over the crony. I would have guessed the ft/lbs would be well below 20 (closer to 10) at that distance. Maybe I’m wrong. Seems to be hitting harder than I would have thought. With dents like that I would think it would blow right through the car windows. Would be fun to try.

I would like to see the car widow also. I have hit some with tire irons on a lot of occasions and it takes several extremely hard hits and sparks even come off some times. I have shot them with a springer and and the pellet flattens like a piece of paper, and it leaves a un removable grey spot ( smear) on the glass. Some windows do brake a lot easier then others though. Some you can kick and brake them, or just tap them with a tire iron and they explode.

This may save your and your loved one's lives if they ever run off the road and car goes into a lake or river with the Windows all up.

You can shatter glass windows easily with...

Put a tiny piece in the hollow point slug cavity sharp edge point out facing forward... GLASS PREDATORS... Ceramic mags!

I GET ROYALTIES!!!

What gage is that piece of sheet metal?

Never mind, saw that you said 1/8” steel. That’s pretty thick, then, to be showing divets like that at that distance. I’m surprised it’s denting it that much, which is why I figured it was no more than 22 ga sheet metal.

I figured at this distance I could have put tinfoil out there. Was really surprised the hits were leaving anything other than a mark.
