Starting to get the hang of this Rat thing..

Enjoyed your video Baxter. Like you said there is a learning curve to shooting rats. First thing I do is know my point blank range, then hold under for close shots and the hold over for long shots. Then I set up in area where I know the distances to the various areas of rat activity. If you get that down then you can be faster on the trigger. Have fun and yes those are some big rats. Bill
 
I have possums too but I don't shot them. They are natures sanitation engineers. I have killed multiple rats in my backyard with my self made night vision ratting set-up (thanks to Rolaids nite vision set-up on YouTube). Plus they kill and eat mice and rats, so I know when I see one in my nite vision site I might as well put the rifle away 'cause all the rats have scattered and are in hiding.
