Starlings popping with slugs

After a successful starlings shoot with my FX Crown at farm Z, I returned with my Impact MK2 to do the same. I was able to "pop" these starlings consistently with H&N 23gr slugs again after almost 2 years of struggling with the accuracy that I couldn't fix.

In the immortal words of Ted, ”can a starling really be dead enough?” BTW OP said the slugs were .218 diameter = .22 bore. But that 22 is putting out more energy than my 25 Marauder! Granted I could turn up my gun but I’m getting pass throughs on squirrels already.

@Dan25. My Impact is spitting these 23gr slugs at 900 fps. Overkill IMO, but great to use in windy conditions and the loud "pop", lol.

I did my good deed yesterday. Today, not so much. After years of terror them b@strds seemed to have gotten smart.
