The crows didn't take the shots well at all. Starlings and doves tend to fly off or at least attempt to fly off before dropping out of the air or flapping backwards/sideways. You just stone the corvids. Did you use the same ammo on them?
@Ezana4CE. Yes I was shooting the H&N 18gr with my Crown. Great combination with the power level I am at. Unless I hit them centre mass or head shot, they would tend to fly off and then drop dead soon after.
@Max115 I knew that you said you were using the Regal, I just wasn't clear on the ammo. Thanks for sharing the missed shots too. I can tell some of those were long shots just by watching the arc on the projectile in your slo-mo clips. I haven't worked my way out that far yet. Good shooting as usual and thanks for sharing. When do you think you'll go ratting again?
@Ezana4ce. My Regal is very capable of hitting targets out to 100 yards as long as I get the windage correctly, lol. The rat place is no longer an issue as of late. I haven't been back there in a month now. Farmer told me he didn't see any activity at all. I guess my constant pressure of shooting them has made an impact. Hopefully by Fall the number will return.
@davit66. Thanks for watching. Yes starlings will be on the menu in the next couple of months or more as the berries season is here soon.
